A Perplexing Journey

I blog about; life with my loving husband, & our cats Siggy, and Maddie. Stuff in the news, my crafts, memes, photo posts & various other things that catch my fancy. I really like working at home, my husband appreciates my roll as housewife, and I find it my most rewarding job yet. We still hope to have children, though we still don't have any yet.

Who said you can't get something for nothing?

So in the last couple weeks I have both got a free BBQ and washer. The BBQ needs a little work, but we know how to do it and with what it needs the parts are much cheaper then buying a new one. It's nothing fancy, just a BBQ, hopefully it'll be fixed in time for my birthday. Home Depot gift cards?

The washer we picked up today is almost identical to the one we have. We haven't set it up yet, probably over the weekend. Here's hoping it actually is better then what we have and meets out need. The listing I found it from said they were remodeling so they had to get rid of them. The place was tiny so I envisioned that they enlarged a room or closest and had to go for apartment style machines instead of side by side. Who knows, my mind wanders.

Anyway, so I'm pooped. It's been so hot lately. Just around 100 for the last couple days. The house is just starting to cool off. It was 101 outside today, now it's gone down to the low 70's as the sun is setting. The news said we should get some light rain and thunder. I really hope so! I love that kind of weather. I don't think I've ever really feared thunder and lightning. It was one of my favorite things in CO. I miss the evenings in the summer in CO when natures AC would take over, the moisture would come and the temp would drop. It's never as dramatic here or when I lived in CA.

Well, I should log off and try to come up with another no heat meal for dinner.
Sorry this isn't a particularly thrilling post. Just wanted to let everyone know that we're hoping this other washer will be better.
