A Perplexing Journey

I blog about; life with my loving husband, & our cats Siggy, and Maddie. Stuff in the news, my crafts, memes, photo posts & various other things that catch my fancy. I really like working at home, my husband appreciates my roll as housewife, and I find it my most rewarding job yet. We still hope to have children, though we still don't have any yet.

What isn't said again in the news.

I almost skipped over Michelle Malkin's post about the two suspicious men on the ferries up here. Mainly because it seemed like everyone has been saying the same thing and then running off on the tangent of "we shouldn't be racially profiling."

What caught my attention was the following quote she had in regards to the FBI bulletin.

"According to federal agents, passengers have seen the men on several occasions exhibiting unusual behavior. The FBI did not say precisely what that unusual behavior entailed."

To me the big thing is ON SEVERAL OCCASIONS, as in, a pattern, a behavior, a trend, something that was easily observed!

Now let me tell you. As a Washingtonian I don't ride the ferry system anywhere near as much as the people who live on the islands and depend on them daily to commute do. For us it's more an occasional outing, a fun time. So for us there wouldn't really be any way of knowing if someone is just being your run of the mill public whacko or if they are really intending to do harm. I think it is so important that officials and commuters alike are keeping an eye out while they ride, they're really the only ones who would know if something is out of the ordinary. I truly feel safer knowing this issue went as far as warranting FBI attention. Not about it happening, but because there are those out there who truly care for the safety of the greater community.
