A Perplexing Journey

I blog about; life with my loving husband, & our cats Siggy, and Maddie. Stuff in the news, my crafts, memes, photo posts & various other things that catch my fancy. I really like working at home, my husband appreciates my roll as housewife, and I find it my most rewarding job yet. We still hope to have children, though we still don't have any yet.

Pro life isn't just anti-abortion.

I just saw a segment with this man on a new show on FoxNews. It was amazing. His story is certainly one I plan on following.

I am strongly against assisted suicide, and the fact that my state is considering it is another cause to pray. I hope to find a video of his interview because in my opinion hearing from him directly is far more powerful then just reading an article about his actions.

If you have a bit of time to read the article it's worth a read, and if you find any other information on this man please post it as a comment to this for me.

The former Boeing computer programmer (John Peyton) has Lou Gehrig's disease, which progressively paralyzes its victims. His doctor gives him three to six months to live.

He is using his last months to oppose a ballot initiative that would allow physicians in Washington state to help terminally ill patients end their lives. Only Oregon has such a law.

"What we're really doing I believe, is attempting to eliminate the sufferer so we don't have to deal with them," Peyton said.
story continued here.

I like the title to your post. It really got my attention.

And I think that Mr Peyton hit the nail on the head with his comment:
"What we're really doing I believe, is attempting to eliminate the sufferer so we don't have to deal with them," Peyton said.

Both Abortion and Euthanasia are about getting rid of an inconvenience. So many that would choose 'assisted suicide' not only do so to end their own suffering, but also because they feel like a burden to family and friends. I'm glad that there is at least one man who is terminally ill who is saying, "NO! I want to live my life to the fullest, to the end of my days - no matter how painful it may be."
