A Perplexing Journey

I blog about; life with my loving husband, & our cats Siggy, and Maddie. Stuff in the news, my crafts, memes, photo posts & various other things that catch my fancy. I really like working at home, my husband appreciates my roll as housewife, and I find it my most rewarding job yet. We still hope to have children, though we still don't have any yet.

What is your favorite Christmas song?

This is a super short post, and hopefully it'll get lots of replies because I really want to know...

What is your favorite Christmas song?

Mine is Little Drummer Boy. It's such a sweet and humble song, showing how a simple little drummer boy could see baby Jesus as the Christ King he was born as. It's something awe-inspiring to me that the little drummer wanted to give a gift to baby Jesus to, and yet all he could offer was his talent, and that was given and enjoyed.

So come on now, share in the Christmas spirit and tell me what you're favorite Christmas song is and why.

Ohh..Susan, I love that song Mary Did You Know!! It is soo thought provoking.
For me... my favorite is I Wonder as I Wander. I truly adore the lyrics.
I wonder as I wander out under the sky
How Jesus the Saviour did come for to die
For poor on'ry people like you and like I;
I wonder as I wander out under the sky

I feel like this song is exactly my hearts cry. I really wish I could understand the deepth and breadth of the love of Christ that caused Him to come and die for me. For all my sins. For all the times Ive put God way behind all my wants and needs. I sing this song to myself a lot, through out the whole year. keeps me humble, yet fills me with joy to realise God truly truly loves me.. through all my wonderings, and all my wanderings!!

My mom wanted to comment but couldn't because it was at a time when I was trying to hold my site more secure. I guess that upset her because she wanted to comment on this post. So I'll post what she wanted to say.

She said that her favorite is Silent Night because it's translated in many languages, so while she didn't yet know english when they first moved to the states, she could at least hum along to that song because she new it from Europe.

I honestly am not trying to exclude anyone ever from commenting, and it's too bad that I don't have controls enough with blogger. If I could buy the program I know would give me this control at home, I would. Then anyone could comment and the only requirement would be an email address. But the closes option here is requiring a user open ID

In the blogging world, like any other public journaling and archiving, there needs to be accountability to who says what. Allowing anonymous comments doesn't give that control.
