Stars ATC for Wednesday Stamper & Swap-bot puzzle swap photos.

Here is an ATC I made for Wednesday stamper. I was already making these puzzle piece altered art pieces for a swap, so since I always make extra pieces I thought I'd make myself an ATC too.

Here is the image to the swap I participated in.
Swap-bot swap: PUZZLE PIECES ALTERED WITH A DIFFERENCE

Here is one of the two pieces I received, I can't find the other. ;-(

And here is what I'm sending. I'm also wondering if I should make more of these ornaments for my Etsy shop, any interest? Please comment. I know I'll be making myself one eventually!

Button fairy

I haven't done a Wednesday Stamper challenge in a while, and I've seen lots of people making these so I figured why not give it a try. I really love how she turned out and think I'll be making more of these.

Her wings are the stamped images. I made them using a heart stamp I've had for a while. For some reason as I was creating her I kept thinking about spring so she ended up as a garden button fairy.

I used free vintage clip art for her face and arms. And then colorized it with colored pencils. Her dress and hat are made out of scraps of fabric I have, and her buttons are from a vintage collection I lucked out to get at the thrift shop last month. I have two more white/pink daisy buttons, I think I will add them in the grass with the other, but I wanted to make sure I got her posted while it was still actually Wednesday here.

I actually broke out my glitter crayons from junior high for this one. I'm amazed that I still have those, but even more amazed that they still color and aren't dried useless!

The whole piece is 5 by 7, I love it so much that I plan on framing it and putting it in my living-room! I just need to dig out a frame for her.

A random other tidbit; This is my 600th post.

Wednesday Stamper Inchie

I'm not a fan of doing things this small. It was a real challenge. I figured I'd have a use for it eventually. I'll probably use it on a card. I made my inchie by using an inch section of a scrolling stamp I have. and then added a couple celestial brads and colored it all with pencils, and itty bitty stickers, and silver ink. I'm amazed I had room on it for anything more then the stamp and colored pencil.

Dragon Moo card

Update: I've since worked on this some more. Once I got it in my head that I was going to add it to my bathroom I just had to finish it. I downloaded the Geisha image and used the bird from the other image that had the dragon on it. I changed my mind on the red star brads and sewed the pieces together with navy blue thread. then I mounted them on another piece of scrapbook paper, and then I mounted that on a piece of origami paper.

I've never heard of a moo card before. And with enjoying ATC's I thought this was an interesting challenge. A moo card is even smaller then an ATC so making something that fits in such a small place was a challenge. I made this thinking I'll eventually have it as part of another art project for the bathroom. I got the dragon image from Karen's Whimsy Altered it down to just the dragon, printed it on velum, and then tacked it to scrapbook paper with red star brads. Then I stamped it all with a flower stamp from "Fun with Pattern" by Fifi Weinert

Pink Salmon Run - Wednesday Stamper.

The challenge this week for the Wednesday Stamper challenge was to make something with fish. It was a real challenge for me. I keep a fish tank and that is about it for me and fish. I'm allergic to most fish so I just don't eat seafood. And aside from my tiny little tank I don't notice fish much.

Recently the city of Sultan posted a bulletin to the residents that the Pink Salmon are returning up stream this year, so the invitation was sent out to watch the event. Kevin and I are really thinking about going. It was fun a couple years ago when we watched the fish so we look forward to it this year too.

So keeping in mind the event I decided to make my ATC/stamp project a bit of a science lesson too. Or at least an adornment for the page I make after our outing to see the fish.

I used images of pink salmon found on Google, as well as the image of the state of which I altered heavily. I used a wave pattern stamp from "Fun with Pattern" by Fifi Weinert for the ocean, and a "We've moved" text stamp from A muse Artstamps. I also used Pentel markers and Prang colored pencils to colorize things. And of course it wouldn't be a creation of mine without a star brad and word stickers of various kinds... I think it's funky. The rays on the sun I made out of sticker scraps. I'm pretty proud of that little bit of creativity. I had originally used a generic sun stamp, but I didn't think in popped enough on the card and I liked the sticker created one much better. Though if you look on the right side of the sun just so you can still see some of the stamp too.

So there you have it. My contribution for this weeks Wednesday Stamper.

Wednesday Stamper / Mittwochstempler - ATC Triptych

I've been feeling low again so I decided today I was just going to sit and craft. I found a neat site that I decided I'd start participating in on Wednesdays. This is my first ATC for the group. I'm really proud of how it turned out. It's just what I had in my head as soon as I heard this weeks challenge.

The challenge was to make an ATC Triptych and as normal for this group to include stamped art. The stamped art I included was the green corners which I stamped on card-stock with purple ink and then filled in with green highlighter. Also the sun in the first frame is stamped on card-stock with orange ink and colored in with yellow highlighter.

The three frames are hinged together with plastic coated metal wire (a favorite accent of mine in ATC's, probably something you'll see in most of my favorites.) And I've been in kind of a romantic mood so I wanted to make a love theme, found the images at my favorite free vintage images site

I hope you all enjoy my contribution as much as I did to make it!
