Abby Johnson, Fighting for Life (Foxnews Nov 7 2009)

This is so heart-wrenching! No matter who you are you need to watch this to see what this woman has to say about why she left her job as a director of a planned parenthood. The truth needs to be known!

"Less than 10% believe abortion should be legal, unfettered"

Reading a current post from One News Now says the following.

A nationwide survey commissioned by the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops underscores the public view of abortion.

The poll involved a cross-section of Americans -- not just Catholics -- and assistant director for policy and communications at the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops Deirdre McQuade has part of the results.

"Four out of five American adults -- 82 percent -- think abortion should be either illegal under all circumstances or with limited legality, and only nine percent said that abortion should be legal for any reason at any time during pregnancy," she explains.

McQuade contends the results ought to send a message to Washington as the most pro-abortion president America has ever had is about to be sworn into office.

"It shows that the Supreme Court is out of touch with mainstream America," she contends. "It shows that, certainly, [the] pro-abortion advocacy groups are out of touch with mainstream America, even out of touch with people who describe themselves as pro-choice."

Three-fourths favor parents having a role in a minor's attempt to obtain an abortion, and nearly two-thirds support laws against partial-birth abortion. McQuade hopes to have a copy of the survey on the desks of the upcoming president and each member of Congress.

My question then is, if so many people are against it, why is it so hard to make progress towards making every life have a chance!?

More rape, hidden by PP.

Yet again another reason why Planned Parenthood and sick minded criminals utilizing it makes my blood boil! This poor scared little girl really should not have to live through this hell, and yet society and her family have ushered it in for her!

'Death with dignity'

WA voters passed into law 'Death with Dignity' and my heart broke when I heard it passed and thought about the lives that will be lost as a result. I'm pro-life, and that includes at the end of life, not just at the start.

I read the following article and found it heartwarming that doctors and hospitals are already taking a stand saying they are not going to be part of this option. I know if I were a health care professional I'd have serious ethical and moral issues with ever having to face that issue. As a voter, guided by my faith I've had to look at it simply from my vantage point, I know dying is never a pretty thing, it's complicated, heart-breaking, and an emotional and often financial drain, but I don't think that while a person has breath that they are to ever willingly end it before God's time for them. I know others hold their own beliefs and thoughts, but this is my blog and I'll post things as I see is important.

Again, this post is simply my pointing out that I'm proud for these health-care professionals in my state. It takes a lot of courage to stand up for what you believe is right, and stand up they are! I see this as a blessing and an answer to prayer. I hope and pray these places and individuals will be able to maintain their resolve for human life and upholding their oath to preserve it in every way they can.

The faith and conviction of a child.

My bloggy friend Dana made an amazing post and I just want to pass the link on for others to read. Children learn more than we may realize a lot of times. They have amazing hearts, and they are constantly processing and forming opinions that often times adults are too lazy to care to contemplate. A child isn't afraid to form their opinion, and what a blessing it is when the proper environment instils a love for the Lord in a child, and that Love for the lord guides their hearts in their choices and decisions.

I'm grieving lives that will be lost!

Additionally, my state is passing a law to allow assisted suicide. This is awful. I'm grieving and praying. And resting in my hope found in Jesus my Lord!

Sadly, regardless of if CA passes parental notification, FOCA will erase that right of parents.

Watching this warms my heart!

I'm sure by now you all (those who care to follow my blog) know I put my support behind MCCain/Palin. For one thing I've been a fan of McCain's for many years. I had voted for him 8 years ago too. I'm not here to debate and I know all candidates have issues that everyone can find something to be unhappy about. Hm, that's just the condition of being human I think.

Anyway, I'm posting now because listening to Palin talk about life has particularly spoken to me, and I wanted to pass the video on so others can watch this powerful speech.

My favorite quote of the rally is;

"I believe the truest measure of any society is how it treats those who are least able to defend and speak for themselves. And who is more vulnerable, or more innocent, than a child?" -Palin

SO TRUE!

Please watch!

Oregon wants to throw away lives!

Yet again the issues of pro life being at the end of life and not just at the start of life is being talked about! "Some terminally ill patients in Oregon who turned to their state for health care were denied treatment and offered doctor-assisted suicide instead, a proposal some experts have called a "chilling" corruption of medical ethics."
If you are interested in this article to read further click here.
It just shows how different people value life, and how no, not everyone who is at the end of life wants to just end it now.
"It dropped my chin to the floor," Stroup told FOX News. "[How could they] not pay for medication that would help my life, and yet offer to pay to end my life?" This is so sad, and is something that really needs more attention than it really is receiving!
"For Stroup, however, suicide was never an option. He fought back, and the Oregon Health Plan eventually reversed its decision and is now paying for his chemotherapy, giving him hope he'll be around a little longer for his 80-year-old mother and five grandchildren." But what a horrible thing he had to deal with to fight for his life in such a way when he is already dealing with limited health. And to basically be told by his state that his life wasn't worth continuing. What a sad situation! What a loss of ethics! What an outrage!
(Quotes in this post are from the Fox News article)

Pro life isn't just anti-abortion.

I just saw a segment with this man on a new show on FoxNews. It was amazing. His story is certainly one I plan on following.

I am strongly against assisted suicide, and the fact that my state is considering it is another cause to pray. I hope to find a video of his interview because in my opinion hearing from him directly is far more powerful then just reading an article about his actions.

If you have a bit of time to read the article it's worth a read, and if you find any other information on this man please post it as a comment to this for me.

The former Boeing computer programmer (John Peyton) has Lou Gehrig's disease, which progressively paralyzes its victims. His doctor gives him three to six months to live.

He is using his last months to oppose a ballot initiative that would allow physicians in Washington state to help terminally ill patients end their lives. Only Oregon has such a law.

"What we're really doing I believe, is attempting to eliminate the sufferer so we don't have to deal with them," Peyton said.
story continued here.
